Substance abuse, and its effects on our youth and our community, is an issue that cannot go unnoticed by any of us. Its effects reach beyond the user and his or her family; its effects reach into the community. Bridging the Gaps coalition was started to create a united voice and to provide prevention and early intervention services throughout our community in order to reduce substance abuse among our youth.
As a coalition, we believe that as a community if we work together can bridge existing gaps in services, identify needs and develop new ideas and programs that will reduce substance use, strengthen our community and provide for a healthy future of our children. That’s why we need everyone to help us achieve our goals.
